SUNDAY
6pm Intermediate/Advanced Agility (Agility at the Farm, Campton Hills)
For teams working on contacts and weaves, basic handling skills and focus.
CLASS DATES: June 7, 14, 21, 28
FEE: $84/four weeks

TUESDAY

Puppies play and learn in Kindergarten!

Puppies play and learn in Kindergarten!

6pm Puppy Kindergarten (South Town Animal Hospital, South Elgin)
Puppies are introduced to basic obedience skills, socialize off leash with other puppies, and build confidence on baby agility obstacles.
CLASS DATES: June 9, 16, 30, July 7, 14, 21
FEE: $125/six weeks

7:15pm Beginner Obedience (South Town Animal Hospital, South Elgin)
Introduce or refresh basic obedience skills (sit, down, come, stay), heel position, plus loose leash walking, polite greetings of people and other dogs, and go to place/mat.
CLASS DATES: June 9, 16, 30, July 7, 14, 21
FEE: $125/six weeks

WEDNESDAY
6pm Foundation Agility (South Town Animal Hospital, South Elgin)
Dogs ages 6 months and older zoom through the tunnel and chute, climb a baby Aframe, walk the plank, jump over bars and through tires! Prerequisite for all agility classes.
CLASS DATES: June 10, 17, 24, July 1, 8, 15
FEE: $125/six weeks

7:15pm Beginner Agility (South Town Animal Hospital, South Elgin)
For graduates of Foundation Agility or equivalent, dogs continue to build confidence on obstacles, introducing baby dogwalk, low teeter totter, and weave poles, plus working short sequences off leash.
PREREQUISTE: Foundation Agility or instructor approval.
CLASS DATES: June 10, 17, 24, July 1, 8, 15
FEE: $125/six weeks

AKC now recognizes CGC as a title after your dog’s name!

7:15pm Canine Good Citizen (South Town Animal Hospital, South Elgin)
Advanced obedience skills are required for passing Canine Good Citizen test (see http://www.akc.org for more info) and preparing to be a certified Therapy Dog. They include sit politely for petting, nicely greet another dog, loose leash walking, advanced stays and recalls.

THURSDAY

10am Nose Work (South Town Animal Hospital, South Elgin)
Ever wonder how drug detection or bomb detection dogs know what to search for? Nose work is a recreational version of what police and military dogs do! Teach your dog to search for and alert on odor (specific essential oils). Extra challenges include elevated hides, food or toy distractions, and more.
CLASS DATES: Weekly
FEE: $21/drop in

11am Rally Obedience (South Town Animal Hospital, South Elgin)
Rally is a combination of obedience and agility where your dog performs obedience skills such as sit, down, stand, stay, come, and a variety of other moves as part of numbered stations on a course. Handlers heel dogs from station to station using praise, treats and toys. Lots of fun for dogs and their people!
CLASS DATES: Weekly (starting June 11)
FEE: $21/drop in

FRIDAY

6:30pm Downtown Hound (weekly field trips, Geneva, St. Charles & South Elgin)
Need to polish your dog’s manners in a real-world setting? Each week, we meet in a different location, from parks to Geneva Commons outdoor shopping mall to ice cream in downtown St. Charles, and learn how to help our dogs work through distractions, such as people, other dogs, and new environments.
PREREQUISITE: Beginner Obedience or instructor approval.
CLASS DATES: June 12, 19, 26, July 10, 17, 24
COST: $140/six weeks

    Maya Clark (black and white border) did agility with Samantha. My husband, John is considering working with her now. Where is the location for intermediate agility on Thursday nights? Is there a session start date or how does that work?

    • Hi Lisa, I’d love to have John & Maya in agility class! There’s an opening in the 7pm Thu Intermediate Agility class which begins tomorrow night (Feb. 23). Location is Agility at the Farm, 8N861 Burlington Road, Campton Hills, IL 60140. Will email you privately with more info. Thx, Julia

    I have a bernese mtn dog, she will be 5 months old on the 8th…When will you have a new start date for the puppy obedience class? We go to south town animal hospital and they recommended you.

    Hi Julia, Do you know where the registration form for the “Do More With Your Dog” dog camp at Campton HIlls (end of Oct) is posted? I got an email from DMWYD and a link to Agility at the Farm, but don’t see the event posted on their event webpage. Maybe its too early??

    Hi: When new class schedule will be posted? I have Yorkie, male, 10 months old and he needs socialize with other dogs and human. I am interested in enroll my dog in Beginner Obedience, Canine Good Citizen, Beginner K9 Nose Work, Beginner Obedience and Beginner Agility. Not necessarily in this order.
    Oh, We are in South Elgin, so, I am interested in South Elgin location.

    • Hi Stella, the new class session starts in January. For your young Yorkie, I recommend Beginner Obedience, which begins Tue., Jan. 8 from 7:15pm-8:15pm at the South Elgin location.     Hi Julia and Donna,
    I just wanted to drop you a note to tell you we are interested in enrolling our Border Collie, Kaylie, in a foundation agility course sometime after the end of her current beginner obedience class that she is in. She’ll be 6 months old April 1st.
    Any idea when you will be offering it again?

    Hi, Julia! My dog Hershey and I took Donna’s foundation agility class awhile ago and I filled out an application then. I’m now interested in the Rally (drop in) class at 1:15 on Mondays. Is there anything I need to do other than simply show up?
